Principal Karen Satter
Hello, my name is Karen Satter and I am the principal at Riverside Middle School. Over the past 26 years, I have worked in the field of education as a counselor, teacher, dean, athletic director, instructional coach, and principal for grades K-12 in 6 different buildings.
For the past 18 years I have worked in the Garfield Re-2 School District and 15 of those years at Riverside Middle School. Riverside is a very special school where we are a family and truly care about one another. I am grateful to lead such a wonderful school in an amazing valley that includes our two communities of Silt and New Castle. I have two children who attended elementary school at Kathryn Senor, middle school at Riverside, and high school at Coal Ridge. My eldest son Matt just graduated from the University of Wyoming with a business marketing degree. My younger son Will is a junior at the University of Wyoming where he also majoring business communication. Go Pokes!
I feel extremely grateful to call this valley our home with the fantastic people that live here and the quality of life we have. I enjoy the outdoors and love to be active by hiking, biking, swimming, skiing, reading, and playing games with family and friends. Assistant Principal/Athletic Director Jeff Bradley
Hi, my name is Jeff Bradley. I grew up in Walden, a small town in northern Colorado. I went to college at CSU and am starting my 30th year in education. One of my teachers/coach in high school had a strong influence on my life growing up; I pursued a career in education because of him. I received my B.S. from Colorado State University and my master’s from University of Northern Colorado. I have been a teacher, athletic director and/or assistant principal throughout my career. I have been married for 26 years with two children, Zach who is 20 and Zoey who is 15. I have lived in the Grand Valley for my entire educational career and really love the western slope.
