Mr. Tim Jacobs 

Tim JacobsTim is a graduate of Michigan Technological University (Electrical Engineering Technology), Northern Michigan University (Math, Science and Education) and has his master’s degree from University of Northern Colorado.  After teaching 10 years near Steamboat Springs and 21 years in Glenwood Springs, Tim retired in 2011. Billie PlummerHello! Thank you for sharing your child with me this year!  This will be my 16th year teaching math at Riverside:) I have taught 7th grade math for ten years and this will be my sixth year teaching 8th grade math! Outside of school, I am married with four kids.  This year I have a college Senior, a college Junior, a sixth-grader, and a fourth grader! They are the light of my life and keep me busy! In addition to my four kids, we also have three dogs and a cat so there is never a dull moment! Language Arts

Mrs. Porter Joy PorterHello, my name is Joy Porter and I teach 8th grade Language Arts here at Riverside and I also coach volleyball at Coal Ridge. I was born in California, but have been in Colorado since I was 10 years old. I am married and have 7 children. Our 7th child is a junior at Coal Ridge. I absolutely love the beach and love going deep sea fishing. I have traveled to 48 of the 50 states and if I could pick a favorite, it would be Florida. Going to the beach, fishing, exploring new places, hanging out with my family, and watching sports are some of my favorite things to do. I am looking forward to a great year.
